Hello, my name is Tony Mamo and I am a developer & designer.

I am a software engineer and UX/UI designer with over 15 years of professional experience, specializing in architecting scalable, maintainable front end systems paired with easy to use and beautiful looking interfaces. I am devoted to working on projects that move the world forward through innovative software. I have industry experience within recruitment, healthcare, e-commerce, logistics, restaurant-tech, and non-profit charity environments. I specialize as a Javascript developer who leans more towards the design side, working in React (& Next/Gatsby/React Native) with Styled Components, Typescript, Node, Redux, Git, AWS, Firebase, Jest, Cypress, and a plethora of libraries and frameworks.

Based out of Metro Detroit, outside of my work life I am a woodworker, photographer, musician, foodie, adventurer, husband, and dad.

I also am a co-founder at Packup, building an app that helps you prepare for outdoor adventures through a dynamic packing list generator. Our goal is to increase the safety and enjoyment of outdoor adventures by improving competency and preparedness. Our suite of trip preparation and packing tools, along with contributions from a community of passionate users aims to create an ecosystem where you can always be prepared for your outdoor excursions. Forgetting an important item can be embarrassing at best, or life threatening and dangerous depending on the circumstances. With packup, we will ensure that no item is left behind.
